31202Benidorm: The Ultimate Hen and Stag Destination

No Comments 3 Min Read

Benidorm might be an obvious choice for your hen or stag do, but it’s popular for good reason. Let us fill you in…

Why Benidorm?

Benidorm is a tourist’s dream town, filled with great party options at affordable prices: it’s truly in a league of its own as a hen or stag destination. So hop on a plane, make the transfer from Alicante to Benidorm, and get ready for a pre-wedding party to remember.

Where Should We Stay?

One thing that may strike you on your way from the airport at Alicante to Benidorm is the sheer SIZE of the place – it’s Ibiza on steroids! The town is divided into five parts: Poniente, Levante, El Castell (Old Town), La Cala, and Rincón de Loix. Levante especially is best for Brits, and by far the most famous part of the resort.

You’ll find a lot of recommendations for hotels, but it’s best to follow your own lead. Consider your budget and how much time you actually intend to spend in the hotel. Planning on hitting the strip every night? Then don’t worry about getting pampered back at your room. One piece of advice, though: make sure that you pick a place with a decent pool – you’ll be needing some cool R&R!

Daytime

Stag and hen parties are associated with drunken debauchery, but the town also has a lot to offer while the sun shines. Let’s take a look!

Paintballing

Your first thought after stepping out of the car from Alicante to Benidorm might be to settle down and grab a drink – but there’s plenty of time for that at home. Instead, why not kick off your hen or stag with the adrenaline rush of paintballing? The nearby centre offers the usual mix of deathmatch and objective-style play, and what better way to work up a sweat than running around the woods with your friends trying not to get shot?

Aqualandia

You’ve gone from Alicante to Benidorm, now why not make the trip to Aqualandia? An excellent water park with slides big enough to be seen from the town, Aqualandia is immediately worth the trip – especially in the hot summer months!

Paragliding

Perhaps the most spectacular option on this list, paragliding lets you come back from your hen or stag with a truly unforgettable experience. Most operators even let you pay extra to have a trained bird of prey meet you and rest on your arm in mid-air – something to make your friends at home really jealous.

Nighttime

Now, back to the partying. The town has more than enough options for any group to find the right night for them. If you’re not liking the vibe in one place, there’ll be another just down the road – and three or four more on the way there!

After the daily siesta, which usually wraps up around 5-6pm, the area comes alive and stays that way well into the next morning – so you have a lot of time to explore the bars.
This brings us to the essence of the nightlife: the bar crawl. One option is to start out in the English Quarter and move along the prom, making your way to the more serious clubs along the Avenida Communitat Valencia. Alternatively, the Rincón de Loix area makes a great starting place, with cocktails at the Lazy Cow Beach Club especially recommended. Some guides even offer private bar crawls, but don’t feel pressured – there are more than enough options and discounts to find your own way.

How to Get There

Benidorm is an incredibly popular tourist destination, so it’s very easy to get there, with major operators like easyJet, Ryanair and Jet2 all offering direct flights from London airports to Alicante. To get from Alicante to Benidorm, though, you’re best off avoiding the fuss and faff of public transport and trusting one of our Shuttle Direct drivers to get you there stress-free, leaving more time to get the party started.
