Fashion in constantly on the move and the same is with handmade jewellery designs and sometimes it is hard to keep up especially if we are looking for an original jewellery piece. One thing that cannot be ignored is that these beautiful fashion accessories have never been as popular as they are today.

In the 1960’s the fashion for handmade jewellery became big, bright and bold and this was the time when modern art was very popular so many of the original jewellery designs took this as the theme for their unusual designs. Large chunky bracelets were being worn that had been made from bright coloured acrylics and charm bracelets were back in high fashion and they were covered with bright coloured charms. Fashion designers started to design their own original jewellery collections and would design collections of jewellery sets, earrings, bracelets and necklaces that would complement their own individual fashion styles.
