I am sure most of you reading this post have heard or seen the expression, “be careful what you wish for.” Back in December of 2013 i was visiting Malaysia on a four day stop there, and while walking through a mall, i could not believe my eyes. It became so obvious so quickly that in many parts of Southeast Asia, the cosmetic quest is that of white skin tones. At first i was taken back by it because to be honest, my favorite color of skin is that which is found in that part of the world. So many of us here at the USA wish we could have been born with the amazing tan, bronze skin that we can only have a few months a year during our summers here.

The truth seems to be that we always wish for something a bit different from what we have. And so i had to accept that many people around the world wish to have fair skin just as i wish to have tan skin. Yet fair skin people suffer in ways that darker skin people do not suffer. It is the fairest skin people that actually get injured at the start of summer by not realizing that those two hours in the sun were once again to be dangerous. Fair skin burns, blisters and peels from injury, whereas that tan skin just becomes a shade more tan.
In the world of cosmetics, fair skin can also be a headache, because all of those vibrant colors that are available now, can easily make a fair skinned person look ridiculous. One step too far in level of vibrancy, and out comes the circus clown. It is not easy to have fair skin. Not easy to protect fair skin during summer or at hot climates, and not easy to enjoy color choices in the realm of cosmetics.
Well, as it goes with blush colors for the fair skinned person, yes i know you may be bored with it, but pale pink in usually the best choice.
Do not forget that the word blush is nearly the same as the word pink. When a person does blush on there own, it is the reddish pink color rushing to the face and cheeks due to an emotional moment, or in cold climates, maybe it’s just freezing outside.

However, there are those days when the fair skinned person can enjoy soft shades of peach. If you are fair skinned with somewhat yellow undertones, peach is going to be fun for you. Peach blush of good quality always has orange and yellow tones of it’s own, and those tones have a way of enhancing what would be your already natural facial flush.
Lastly i would like to suggest that you consider experimenting with the softest shades of plum that you can find. Softer shades are where you are going to locate variety for your self. Do some testing as a cosmetics counter at a mall or store near you. Be 100% sure that you are in favor of an item before you make a buy. Take a friend with you if you can so that you have the counter sales person and your friend to offer opinions as well.
