From children, to students, from parents, to grandparents, we all use internet to do a lot of things like- Reading, studying, conversing, transporting data and information, shopping, and many more things, that even might be out of our imagination.

Alike every 1st person in this world, students worldwide are turning towards the internet for almost every chore, but especially when it comes to collecting information/ data for creating school or college work like- dissertation, essay, article writing, forming any kind of official document. Resources like book and novels that you can find in libraries or stores are usually the kind of documents which are thoroughly evaluated by experts before they are published. Even when these books are brought to your university library or local library, they are systematically cataloged, cross- referenced and organized on the basis of material and categories. But, not all material from the internet can be considered as reliable.

Internet is like a vast sea of knowledge that has answer to every question, still there are answers that can be false or unreliable. Unreliable resource can never be good for creating a school/ official paper. So, how to start working?

•There are millions of great resources available on the internet. The resource may include hundreds of journals, articles and sites those are set up by universities and Scholarly or science organizations. Using materials from these sources is no problem. It can give proper evidence and source to work with, having the same quality as book available libraries.

•Use internet to cross check library resources. Sometimes few universities like there students to do only book research or library research. Traditional research is greatly known for its authenticity and hence it can be a more reliable source for many cases. But, if you feel you might find more strong information through internet rather than books, you can cross-check information from the Net against information from books.

•Let your search engine guide you. When searching on a topic, which is the first thing you do? You simply go to s search engine, say Google, Yahoo, Bing and few others. Regardless it has been proven that Google is one of the best search engine out there. When searching on google, try going for the material on the first page as google tries to give the most relevant to the search. Google simply uses SEO to get information and concluding the best result.

•Keep a track of what sites you visit. Researching online, automatically means going through various websites. These varied websites may or may not be useful, therefore keeping a track record of all the websites you have been through can help you ignore the similar, useless websites and help you get quick access to the websites that are useful. Don’t rely soulfully on your browsers search history, as it tends to save all the sites that has been visited by the browser, hence, as a result it is not easy to find of URL’s among them. It’s better to write down or bookmark the useful sites by yourself.
