It’s no secret that the haulage industry is slowly but surely going green. We’re moving further and further away from the use of fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources and, as time progresses, more and more businesses are becoming environmentally conscious and investing in eco-friendly vehicles. With so much information and research surfacing about our planet’s less-than-perfect environmental state and the well-known benefits of reducing one’s carbon footprint, it’s not much of a surprise that this positive progression is taking place.
There are many types of green vehicles available, such as those that run on alternative fuels like biodiesel. Another popular choice – and the topic of this article – is using electricity as a substitute energy source. Many people think that the most difficult part of making the switch from traditional fossil fuels to biodiesel or electricity is the cost of new installations. However, another common worry with making the change is often where drivers will gas up – they are, after all, called petrol stations not electricity stations.
Luckily, Close Brothers Asset Financing is now funding RAW Charging’s electric vehicle charging initiative. That means it’s now a lot cheaper for haulage companies to become powered by electricity and, once they make the switch, charging stations will be quite accessible. Read on for more information about this exciting and monumental development.
The Power RAW’s Supplying… It’s Electrifying!
Close Brothers, a team of financing experts who specialise in commercial vehicles, decided to team up with RAW Charging, one of the leading electric vehicle charging system retailers, distributors and installers in the UK. The funding Close Brothers has provided allows RAW to offer a fantastic new deal to interested haulage companies: RAW will install smart electric chargers into their cars and commercial vehicles, with payment spread out over five to seven years. This makes these installations significantly more affordable and, in turn, allows for more businesses to switch to a more environmentally-friendly fuel solution.
RAW currently has over 68,000 electric vehicle chargers worldwide, making their charging network the largest in the world to date. They also offer three different types of solutions, which they are happy provide to any of their interested customers: at work, on the go and at home. This means that drivers can refuel whenever and wherever they need, so they’ll no longer have to worry about running out of charge and getting stranded somewhere.
RAW and Close Brothers have come together to prove a very important point to haulage companies all over the United Kingdom: switching to eco-friendly fuel solutions does not have to be unaffordable and inconvenient. Their payment plan makes it easier and cheaper than ever to make the change to green… and Mother Earth (not to mention the business bottom line) will thank you.
