Choice of lipsticks can be a challenge. There can be colors that a person really is in love with, but their skin tone simply will not permit such freedoms. In this post we will talk a bit about how to choose colors based on skin tones, lip shapes, and features of the mouth area of the face. Be advised, sometimes a desired lipstick can look different once applied than it does before it is applied. Yes it does take some experimentation to find your groove and desired look, but do not fret. You were given gifts of beauty at birth, and now you must match those gifts to compatible products that permit you to display what nature has given you.

Dark skinned people have all the luck when it comes to lipstick colors and other cosmetics colors. They basically can not go wrong with choice of shades. It seems as though the best choices may be pastel, dark orange, chocolate colors, plum for sure, dark reds, browns, and standard reds. One thing darker skinned people can do that others cannot, they can just go for it with plum colored cosmetics. Yes plenty are jealous of such a rare natural ability, because so many love the shades of plum, but simply cannot pull it off. If you are of dark skin tone, play with all the plum shades you can find. It almost impossible to make a mistake.
Fair skinned people have cause to use the more medium shades of lipstick colors. A lipstick that is glossy is also suggested. That darker shades of color do not seem to work at all unless one is going for a counter culture typed look at that given moment or event. The issue with fair skin as it relates to light shades, is that the skin itself can accidentally be made to look even more white than it is already. A very pale tone can create an unhealthy over all appearance. Blue shades with a cool shade tone, can also be tried.
For those people that have medium skine tones, basically any shades of red, and the berries, and shades of brown are great. As for Olive skinned people, the warmer colors such as yellows, browns, and peaches are awesome choices. Lastly, for those with quite pale skin, beige and the nude shades are great. Lighter shades of pink will serve you well, as well as light colored peach shades. Regarding lip sizes, if you have large lips, purples, browns and bronzed colored lipstick will do good for you. Thin lips are served well by the berry colored sticks, wine and coffee colors.
