White Lake, MI – Super Bowl 2018 features the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots…or does it?
White Lake Presbyterian Church has their own unique and innovative way of celebrating Game Day and they encourage the general public to join efforts with a worthy cause known as Souper Bowl of Caring.
Souper Bowl of Caring is an organization that helps to empower youth and unite communities during the Big Game.As a national movement since 1990, young people have been in action inspiring others to collect donations of food and money during the weeks leading up to the Big Game. By working with local partners, these groups give 100% of donations to local charities; thus, transforming the nation’s largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring. On Sunday, February 4, from 11:15am – 12:30pm, White Lake Presbyterian will host a Souper Bowl of Caring Luncheon, where all are invited to a fellowship meal of soup! For over a dozen years now, the church has hosted this luncheon to help worthy charities.
It’s all about the soup! Please come and eat soup, bring soup, buy soup, take soup home. All donations will go to the Open Door Ministry at Fort St. Presbyterian Church, to help the homeless in Detroit.
There are many ministries which Presbyterian Churches support including Community Sharing, Rebuilding Together and the Torch, just to name a few. Learn more at http://www.whitelakepc.org/serve
