Popular Police Games

2 Min Read

Police is synonymous to law enforcement, trust, responsibility, containment of offenses and restoration of order. Cops are respected for their spontaneous acts of bravery performed under pressure and trying circumstances. Kids look up to police officers and want to be like them. This is the fact that makes police games so very popular.

The Positive Lure Of The Police Force

A number of police games available online and as video CDs are designed to be intense involving car chases in pursuit of criminals, powerful weaponry and gadgets, state-of-the-art vehicles, raids, patrols, smart decisions to be taken at the right time, investigations, detective work and other such features. It has been observed that apart from children and teenagers, even adults love to catch hold of a few miscreants by playing police games.

Childhood happens to be an impressionable time. Kids are quite observant and alert to what’s happening around them. They are exposed to TV and news channels and are often reminded of the ever-going tussle between the good and the bad. Police represents the good and children are drawn to the force that is patriotic and believes in sacrifice in order to do good. They get a feeling of achievement and recognition which is tonic for their life in general.

Having Fun with The Police

There are a number of such games to choose from like Need For Speed series, Grand Theft Auto series, Police Car Drift, Tow Truck Parking Madness, 3D game of Police Monster Trucks, Police racing, NYPD Police, New York Robbers, But Robo Police, Bank Robbers versus Police, 911 Police Truck, Moon Police, Dead In Sixty Seconds, Road Trip Rampage, Manhunt, Megacity Flash and many others. The games are entertaining, exciting and engrossing and can actually get addictive.

It is however recommended to exercise some kind of supervision on the kids as they play the games. Some of the games tend to get violent and gory, so it’s best to choose from age-appropriate titles.

Games like Starsky and Hutch which find base in the TV series of the same name are thrilling to play as they are full of mystery and clandestine missions that kids love to explore. Similarly, the ‘Driver’ series of games can be considered paying a literal tribute to daring car chases. In games like Chase HQ, the players get into the roles of police officers who have to stop fleeing miscreants through high-speed chases.

Playing games that are symbolic of the police force in some way or another fulfill the need of role-play in a child’s life which is quite a natural need of this sensitive time of life. Such games also provide a vent to teenagers to express their frustrations and feel relaxed after a game.

Police signifies authority and police games are a way of being authoritative and helpful at the same time. It is great to play hard and get entertained, but remember to respect your boundaries!

I enjoy creating user friendly gaming sites for everyone to enjoy. One of my sites that has so many exciting games for all age groups is called Police Games.
