31202Organised Entertainment in Benidorm for the Whole Family

No Comments 2 Min Read

You successfully caught your plane, and miraculously made it from Alicante Airport to Benidorm without losing a single child or suitcase. Perhaps you’re looking to relax but the kids have other ideas? If your children are restless for adventure, Benidorm has some fantastic options for an adventurous day out. Here are some of the best.

Mundomar

Animal lovers will want to head straight to Mundomar, a large wildlife park home to a variety of stunning sea animals and birds. You can see monkeys, otters, penguins and many more colourful critters in large enclosures before heading to catch some of the spectacular demonstrations with sea creatures. Led by expert trainers, the boisterous dolphins and sea lions love frolicking in front of the crowds. If you book a private session ahead, you can even give it a go yourself! The temptation of a dolphin selfie might be too much to resist…

Aqualandia

If you’re looking to cool off a little, head over next door to Aqualandia. As one of the biggest and best water parks in Spain, Aqualandia is an old favourite in Benidorm set amongst a luscious tropical backdrop. To keep things fresh, they add exciting new rides and attractions each season.

Why not throw yourself in at the deep end and head for the Big Bang, Europe’s tallest water slide? For those who need extreme speed, Verti-Go sends its riders rocketing at 100kph from a height of 33 metres into the splash pool. All the family can get together in the gargantuan wave pool that can hold thousands of swimmers at once. This is the perfect place for children with boundless energy to get their thrill-seeking kicks.

Terra Mítica

For those wanting an adventure through time, look no further than the historical theme park Terra Mítica. Each section is inspired by an ancient classical civilisation: Rome, Greece or Egypt, but there’s no tedious textbook history to be found here. Each section is jam-packed with rollercoasters, shows and more. Ride the enormous wooden rollercoaster, Magnus Colossus, a full 1km through ancient Rome, or witness Spartacus’s rebellion happen right before your eyes in one of the many choreographed street shows.

Don’t forget to head next door to Iberia water park on the same ticket. The history theme continues here, with water attractions built in the style of ancient Spanish history.

Getting to Benidorm

Those are my recommendations for exciting family days out in Benidorm. If you are flying into the city, get your holiday off to a hassle-free start by catching a private shuttle transfer from Alicante Airport to Benidorm. That way you can be assured there’s enough room for all the kids and lots of luggage, minimising stress so you can be ready for some action-packed activities when you get here!

Lukas Johannes is a driver for Shuttle Direct, the number one provider of shared and private airport transfers all over Europe and northern Africa. If you’re looking for the most affordable ride from Alicante Airport to Benidorm, Lukas and his colleagues can make sure that you and your luggage get to and from the airport swiftly and safely.
