SINGAPORE – September 28, 2016 – There’s a deep dive taking place where participants don’t get wet. In fact, they don’t even get in the sea. Rather, they submerge themselves in a kind of business knowledge that, much like underwater diving, promises new discovery while requiring some decompression of old ideas and ongoing challenges. IMD business school announces a unique Mega Dive experience(http://lp.imd.org/display/owp/vid/mega-dive) to culminate its 2016 Orchestrating Winning Performance (OWP) program in Singapore.

Happening at Capella, a luxurious resort on Singapore’s Sentosa Island, IMD will hold its inspiring and impactful OWP executive program(www.imd.org/owp/) from November 28 to December 2, 2016. The program’s finale will be a Mega Dive: a giant team approach to developing solutions to challenges or opportunities by combining brainstorming and prototyping. Capitalizing on the concentrated learnings of the prior days, it will help the more than 100 executives participating to apply and retain their new knowledge.

Leading up to the Mega Dive, OWP Singapore offers an intensive and diverse schedule with topics including digital business, leadership, innovation, strategy and family business. The program includes two keynote speakers – Desmond Kuek Bak Chye, President and Group CEO of Singapore’s public transport operator SMRT, and Kartika Wirjoatmodjo (Tiko), President Director and CEO of PT Bank Mandiri, Indonesia. In addition, Professor Arturo Bris, Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center will release the third annual World Talent Report(www.imd.org/wcc/news-talent-report/), presenting a ranking of countries on their ability to develop, attract and retain talent.

This is the fourth year IMD runs OWP in Singapore and the second consecutive year at Capella. Holding the program at Capella is done to intensify the focus on learning. “Executives need a place where they can disconnect from the issues of everyday in order to fully focus on leading tomorrow,” said IMD professor Mike Wade, co-director of the OWP program. “Capella makes for an inspiring retreat location, much like the IMD campus in Lausanne.”

IMD delivers programs and services from key locations around the world. Since 2013, Singapore has become an important hub for IMD’s executive education offering.
